The aim of this Coaching Models of Practice Programme is to give you an understanding of essential coaching and mentoring skills. On successful completion of this course and its assessments you will gain a QQI Level 6 certificate in Coaching Models of Practice and you will feel confident in coaching others towards their goals.
Our Coaching Models of Practice course is recommended for anyone who manages or mentors others in their current role or who is considering a career move into Life or Executive Coaching. Applicants are expected to have some knowledge of coaching and an interest in coaching as a profession. A qualification in Level 5 or equivalent is preferred level entry for this course.
Our objective is to give you a clear understanding of coaching and its role in ongoing personal and professional performance improvement and our Course Faculty are fully committed to supporting you fully in achieving this life-changing qualification.
THERE ARE ONLY 2 PLACES REMAINING ON THIS COURSE.
This programme consists of mandatory classroom-based sessions (dates listed below) which take place at Source Wellbeing Centre in Belfast as well as theory based learning which will be available online through Edmodo (optional attendance).
When you successfully complete our course and its assessments you will achieve a QQI Level 6 Certification in Coaching Models of Practice and be qualified to coach others.

Jennie Cruise - Course Supervisor, Verifier & Assessor
Jennie is a FreshStart Accredited Coach as well as being the Manager of Baptec Training and Education Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin. With over fifteen years’ experience in Training and Adult Education, she delivers and designs programmes in a wide variety of subjects. Jennie is a highly skilled and experienced Facilitator, Motivational Speaker, and Coach. Jennie runs workshops on, ‘The Power of Positivity’, ‘Empowering Leaders’ and ‘Positive Psychology’.
Jennie is responsible for designing and delivering the FreshStart Life & Executive Coaching programme. Qualified as a Coach and Mentor, she works with people on a one-to-one basis also. Based on the ethos of Adult Education, Jennie uses a holistic approach in her work. She is passionate about creating a positive learning experience. Jennie also delivers training in the areas of Training, Career Preparation, Personal Development and Coaching.
Nicola Thompson - Course Tutor
Nicola is a FreshStart Accredited Coach and a qualified and experienced Trainer. In addition to her 18 years’ experience in Human Resources & Organisational Development in both the private and public sectors, Nicola has a degree in Business Studies, a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development). She is also accredited through the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) at Level 7 with a Certificate in Executive Coaching & Mentoring.
Nicola is passionate about helping individuals to reach their potential in their career and all other areas of life. Her own passion for coaching and training has led her to leave the security of the Head of Organisational Development role which she has held for almost a decade in order to help others establish a strong sense of purpose and a plan for getting there.
Jenny Grainger - Course Director
Jenny Grainger qualified as a Life Coach back in 2005 and since then she has earned her living through Life Coaching thousands of clients across Ireland and beyond via Skype. She was one of the very first qualified Life Coaches in Northern Ireland at a time when no-one had heard of Life Coaching and since then she has become a leading light in the field of coaching and personal development. In addition to being Director of FreshStart Coaching she is also Director of the Positive Living Network as well as co-owner of Source Wellbeing Centre.
